  • SARA GREEN-OTERO
    I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Then in 2006 I graduated with my MSSW from the University of Texas.  Since graduating I have worked in child protective services, medical social work (adults and youth), juvenile probation and now in a school setting. I have been working as the middle school social worker at KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters for 6 years. I served in a leadership role as a community liaison for our Mental Health Team regionally for the past two years and am currently in a management position for three of the social workers on our KIPP Texas-Austin regional Mental Health Team.

  • CHRIS PEREZ BIO
    My name is Chris Perez and I am originally from South Texas (Donna, TX). I received my bachelors degree in Mathematics and teaching certification at Texas A&M University. After college, I worked for Advise TX TAMU Chapter in Brownsville as a College Advisor. Then, I taught Algebra I & Geometry in Brownsville. I am currently in graduate school at Texas State and studying Developmental Education-Math Concentration. I am in my 5th year in working with KIPP as a College Counselor/Seminar Teacher.

  • NICOLE FRANKLIN

    My name is Nicole Franklin, I am one of the few Austin’s original Austinites (born and raised). I am the mother of eight children, ranging from 27 to 11 years old. I have 15 years with the City of Austin at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport as the Community Services Program Manager. I have had the pleasure of being a part of the KIPP family 16 years now with all of my children attending KIPP. I have truly appreciated the opportunity for me to join the KIPP family and growing with it.
